Avuncular DNA Test
This DNA test is used to determine if an individual is the biological aunt or uncle of a child.
Service Description
Avuncular testing is used when a sample from the alleged father is not available. In this case, the child’s DNA is compared to the alleged father’s siblings (the child’s aunt or uncle). While testing can be done with just the child and one aunt or uncle, we recommend including the mother’s sample to improve accuracy and reduce the chance of inconclusive results. Donors Included: (1) Alleged Paternal Aunt or Uncle (1) Child (1) Mother (Highly Recommended) ***There is an extra fee to add on additional alleged fathers and/or children for testing.
